With a complex solution like OpenText Content Suite that is constantly evolving, it’s hard to figure out which patches apply to which versions of Content Suite particularly when patches themselves can be optional, introduce new features, or address a customer-specific issue.
Which Global Cents patches should you install?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a tool that would tell you which patches you need? Based on the products you’ve installed? And, be able to zip and download them for archival or review purposes?
We’ve created the Patch Report Tool to address this and it’s available to you now. Login to the Customer Portal (if you need a login, contact us) and select GCI Patch Report. Select your Content Suite version, the products you’ve installed and their versions, and we’ll generate a report with all the possible patches. From there, you can filter in or out those patches that are optional, new features, even specific customer support fixes. Once done, you can zip and download them and away you go!
